The Sutton Suite

The Sutton Suite was named after the the Rt Rev Peter Eves Sutton, who served as the 8th Bishop of Nelson from 1965 until 1990. Our first suite as you arrive into Pihopa Retreat and overlooking the Chapel of the Holy Evangelists. At just over 55sqm the suite is well laid out with a large bathroom, wardrobe, kitchenette and open planned living / bedroom area. This suite is suitable for wheel chair access. The beds can be configured as a King bed or Twins.
The Facilities
Pihopa Retreat is set in 5.5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, giving you plenty of space to relax and wander. The luxurious suites provide a home away from home. Our spacious and secluded villas have a bedroom and lounge area to relax in, or you can venture outside to soak up the atmosphere on the balcony. You may be joined by cheeky fantails, whilst watching weka and quails running across the lawn.
Onsite you have access to bikes to get you into town, or for the more adventurous enjoy a leisurely cycle on the Great Taste Trail. This takes you along a sparkling coastline, through picturesque countryside dotted with local art galleries, vineyards, and restaurants.
The heated swimming pool is available for use at any time.
